Emerald Lakes Village Homeowners Association

Welcome to Emerald Lakes Village

Emerald Lakes Village lives up to its name. The friendliness and helpfulness of our residents provide the feeling of a village or small town. Our six lakes, three of which are accessible to all our residents, and social events give our residents many opportunities to enjoy each other’s company. With assistance from many residents ELV annually hosts an Easter Egg Hunt, Family FunDay, and Halloween Parade for our children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents. A winter holiday party is also held for adults. Our annual village-wide Garage Sale is another opportunity for our residents to walk throughout our neighborhood and visit. Emerald Lakes Village is a great walking neighborhood. We also have an annual mini-triathlon and BBQ for our ambitiously athletic residents.

Our village is managed by our residents through our Homeowners Association Board of Directors. Annual dues are collected to pay for the professional management of our lakes; maintenance of our beach lots, courts, and cul-de-sacs; a security patrol; utilities; and some of our social events. Dues in 2014 are $200 per home. The Homeowners Board is guided by bylaws and all homes are to be maintained in a manner as outlined in our Restrictions Agreement. Both documents have been approved by our residents. Residents are kept informed on the fun and business of the village through a newsletter mailed to every home as well as our website. Learn more about Emerald Lakes Village at our website, www.elvsite.com.

Somerset Place Subdivision is a John Beneckie development. There are 127 homes located in Somerset Place. Bemis Elementary and Boulan Middle School are located just south of the subdivision; and Troy High School is located just north of the subdivision. All three schools are within walking distance and offer excellent opportunities to the students who attend. Boulan Park is a city owned park located within walking distance of the subdivision. Speaking of walking, the streets that outline the outer edge of the sub (Northfield Parkway and Wattles Road) are bussling with activity in the evening as people use these venues for walking, running and bike riding. If it is shopping you enjoy, Somerset Place Mall is one mile south of the sub. It offers many different types of stores in a safe, clean environment. There are many restaurants located in the mall and right outside the mall's perimeter. Somerset Place Subdivision is an close-knit neighborhood with many forms of entertainment available without all the chaos of being in the middle of it all.
